Let’s just admit it.

A doughnut tastes good.

The nachos smell damn awesome.

The wine gives you a fuzzy buzz.

That’s why we eat and drink.

It doesn’t have to be anyone’s fault.

It isn’t your past failures trying to lose weight that are hosing you today.

When you drop the story that your past causes your overeats or that someone “makes you eat,” then you are left with just you and a decision.

You are left with deciding that even if it smells good, is free, or is deserved, that it no longer is a good enough reason to say yes.

The urge to eat will go away whether I eat or not. What’s my choice?
