The Four Circle Method is a game changer if you suffer with the thought “I have so much weight to lose and it will TAKE FOREVER.”
This is a great tool that helps you plan what you will do today to get you to that far away goal.
You see, most of us are just disconnected from the smaller version of ourselves. We can't believe that the little things we do today MATTER. We think things like, “This bite won't hurt” or “F-it…weighing 150lbs will take forever so give me a cookie.”
The Four Circles basically TRICKS your brain into believing how important today's tiny steps are. Yep…drinking the water matters versus our usual thought of drinking the water isn't enough.
I found this concept in the book Time Warrior by Stephen Chandler. His books are amazing so I highly recommend reading or listening to them.
Here's how The Four Circle Method works.
Draw four circles on a sheet of paper.
The top left circle is the distance goal.
The top right breaks that goal down into a smaller piece, like a monthly goal.
The bottom left is an even smaller piece, like a weekly goal, and the bottom right is EVERYTHING you are going to do today that will help you reach your goal.
This can be done for ANY goal, but I love to use it with my tribe members for weight loss. It clearly shows you those little things you do today take you closer and closer to your goal weight.
Do this together with your 24 hour plan discussed in episode 23 of the podcast.

I love your podcast!! It is totally changing my approach to weight loss and I’m 30 pounds down! I like the idea of the 4 circle method and have started using it, but I am stuck on a detail – is the 1 year goal 1 year from the day that I’m making the plan or do I keep my 1 year goal for the whole year so that I can make progress towards it? Otherwise I’d be recalculating every day based on my new weight and my new goal?
I do mine based on when I made it. If I make it early I start a new one. 🙂
I just discovered you and your tools and advice is awesome!! Thank you for what you are doing. After listening to one of your videos, I got up and took my son to the playground. Also, last night, I was thinking about some more pizza and I didn’t get it. Small victories but none the less, victories. Thanks again because you are giving me motivation to start again.
