Don’t Feel Guilty Because You Want to Lose Weight [VIDEO]

On Instagram, a guy told me, “Now's not the time time to lose weight. This is a pandemic. You should be ashamed.”

WTF is he even talking about?

I totally went to bat for us.

Women CAN lose weight while also going through a pandemic.

We don't have to give up our goals or our dreams for any reason.

Look, you are going to lose weight or gain weight because of one thing.

The number of times your hand puts food in your mouth. Period.

If you put food in your mouth because you are mad, pissed, bored, or scared, you gain weight.

What if we just decide to quit eating for those bullshit reasons and start eating only when we are hungry?

Bottom line: Food solves one thing in this world. Hunger.

No pandemic is going away because you ate on the couch or sucked down some wine while cooking.

Stop feeling guilty for eating only when you are hungry.

Watch the video. You won't regret my rant and you will get motivated to make a change today.

Facebook Live: What to do if you feel guilty for wanting to lose weight right now

Corinne recently posted something on Instagram and a man came on and told her how shallow it is for anyone to want to lose weight right now. Corinne had several thoughts about this. First, he’s allowed to have his own opinion. Second, he’s probably never had to lose weight. Third, he probably doesn’t get what she does.

Corinne doesn’t teach women how to lose weight, instead she teaches them how to have a good relationship with themselves. The majority of the people that Corinne works with eat when they feel bad, instead of talking nice to themselves. As they learn to talk nice to themselves, weightloss becomes a side effect.

When people lose the mental weight, the physical weight is lost as well.

Now is the perfect time to lose weight. Eating ice cream and donuts and other stuff at night is not going to make the virus go away or alleviate our fear and worries. Stress eating is not helping!

The only reason the brain doesn’t want to lose weight right now is because it knows that you can’t eat when you feel scared. In order to lose weight, you have to give up eating through anxiety and actually deal with the anxiety.

We CAN prioritize eating better and taking care of ourselves during a pandemic.

As women, we have to stop putting our dreams, hopes, and goals on hold every time something out of the ordinary is going on in the world. There is no better time than right now to shut down bullshit opinions like that man had.

We have to learn, even in the middle of a pandemic, to stop beating ourselves up every single day.

There are areas that you have control over right now. You may not have control over whether you stay home, but what you do inside those four walls is up to you. You have control over whether you spend the day sitting around worrying.

We are all wanting to lose weight so that we can learn to feel better about ourselves. To feel better about ourselves, we have to treat ourselves better on the inside.

The pandemic is not an excuse to eat like an asshole.

Corinne gets so upset about people like this man because it is ridiculous that you should feel guilty because you want to learn to not eat when you’re stressed out or anxious.

Now is the time we should be working through this stuff. Now is the perfect time to figure out what has been holding you back on your weightloss.

If you’re someone who has always used the excuse “I don’t have time.” Now is the time to figure out where you’ve been wasting your time.

Corinne loves food, but not at the expense of herself or her goals or dreams.

If you’re feeling guilty, stop and ask yourself what you’re thinking that makes you feel that way. Is it even reasonable to think those things? Are those things even true? What else could be true that would be more useful and allow you to show up better?

You deciding to lose weight doesn’t take away from anyone. It gives to you and allows you to give to others, especially if you lose weight in a way that makes sense.

Corinne teaches weightloss that starts with the mental game and ends in the physical game. She teaches it super simple. She has a free course at She has over 200 free podcasts episodes available (Losing 100 Lbs with Corinne Crabtree). You have the resources available to you to start living a better life now!
